A product well worth the price August 29, 2008 Lance Goodmond (Jacksonville, FL USA) At first I was skeptical about purchasing a case that wasn't made by a more popular vendor, but the design and functionality of this case made it ideal for the kind of work I do, and the look is just plain cool. After assembling the case and switching it on, the first thing I noticed was how quiet it was. With all of those fans on, the heat my machine let off filled the room, but my hardware monitors all show low-to-moderate component temps inside. I highly recommend this case for anyone serious about gaming and heavy graphics work, but are on a mid level budget.
Great case August 13, 2008 Epee (NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great case. Plenty of room. Advertised as a midtower. I'd say it's someplace in between an mid and full tower. With 6 fans it definitely runs cool and they run relatively quiet. If you want to monitor all of the fan speeds be sure your motherboard has enough fan headers. The two front mounted USB ports are pretty close together making it difficult to use them both at the same time for all but the slimmest USB connectors. I'd wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Great Item AMAZON SUCKS! July 23, 2008 PC Guy (United States) 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
I'm sure this is a fantastic tower, unfortunately I can't get one that isn't broken to verify. I just put in a request for my THIRD replacement tower. The first one arrived beat all to hell, why you ask? Because Amazon thinks slapping a shipping label on the side of a box that has NO PADDING INSIDE makes for an acceptable way to ship a PC tower. It arrived broken, I called to get a second replacement and report the problem. Of course I'm dealing with the call center in India where I can't understand a word they say and they can't get an issue resolved. I was GUARANTEED that the replacement would be properly packaged... it arrived today, not packaged at all just the label on the box again, but this time it was in even worse shape. So now I am getting my third replacement... I could get a refund but I want to make Amazon do what they say they are going to do. Also, I have many parts for this PC that I needed to install and test within 30 days to be able to use the stores return for broken items instead of going through the manufacturer, now over a thousand dollars worth of crap is sitting there and I just have to hope it works or it will be a loong time to get it replaced. This will be the last time I ever mess with this garbage company that grew to the point where they don't give a damn about individual customers, but I will hold them accountable and make them come through with a packaged item that arrives in acceptable condition. Save yourself the heartache, spend ten more bucks and order from somebody else unless you have the time to deal with their shoddy business practices.
Very nice case July 12, 2008 Ozie Osborne 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Nzxt Tempest Case is a excellent case. It has plenty of room inside making installing the components a easy job. It comes with all the fans (6 of them) included so cooling those components is not an issue. The bottom mounted power supply is a nice feature, keeping its heat away from the processor. This is not a light weight case, the weight is substantial. One thing that could have been added is a set of casters which would help in moving the case around. This to is a simple mod. and one I will be doing in the future. I did not like the placement of the hard drive LED (on the left side of the case) however a quick mod. put one on the front top. When the case was delivered it had damage from shipping. A quick email to the Nzxt Company brought a answer the same day advising me that replacement parts were being shipped. Overall a very nice case with great support from Nzxt.
Great case July 12, 2008 monkeyboy (Seattle, WA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
has everything the 900 does and much more but with less $$$. roomier than 900, better cabling and liquid cooling friendly! For those curious as I was the case holds 8 HDD's in its 2 cages and still has 3 drive bays open for blu-ray/dvd...etc. The 2 front fans cool HDD's. The other 4 fans do a nice job of air cooling everything else. the lighting are just right, antec's are too bright like they're trying to blind me. The case itself is very sleek looking and has enough room for the largest of graphics cards and whatever other hardware. All fans are replaceable and all grills are cleanable. All in all the best case for the money, makes me wonder why others willing to spend more money on just "brand" whatever...
