Clean and roomy, annoying glitches July 4, 2007 Chuck Stanley (Swedesboro, NJ) I have to say the good with the bad on this one, and not all of my "glitches" will affect every owner. Such as, the Creative X-Fi Platinum card has the 5.25" break-out box... the dials hit the door keeping a mere couple of millimeters from closing completely. Also, my XFX video card does not allow for the green non-screw locking rocker for the cards, because of the video's girth. I just had to go "old school" and screw in the card. The other installation glitch I had was I had to take off the front door (which wasn't the easiest at the time), to fill the bottom 5.25" bay with a DVD-R drive. All fairly minor. My main complaint has been that the top USB ports and all 1394 ports are wired incorrectly (well, I guess it would be labeled incorrectly). I could not figure out why my system would not POST when turned on initially until I disconnected all components, and was left with just the USB and firewire still connected. I triple-checked MY wiring, and found that the case's wiring was mislabeled. I could do without the firewire, and have, but after a month of use, I tried the top USB, and as soon as I plugged in my device, the system shut off. On the plus, the case looks amazing, it's clean, lots of room, and just laid out perfectly. Despite the problems, it's served me very well. I have three SATA hdd's, two optical drives, my X-Fi and nvidia video, and there's plenty of breathing room.
Fantastic Case May 12, 2007 Cordell Jacobs 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This case is roomy, silent, and cool. I have used many cases of the years but this is by far the best. Tooless, locking front door, blue leds.... It looks great in a dark room.
a word on doored drive bays... DITCH THE DOOR ALREADY! April 6, 2006 Black Cat de La Bear (those dark halls) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am reveiwing the ATC-110(sold in 2003 by Falcon Northwest) and this one(also sold by Voodoo PC) They are nice cases, with a nice look, yet the CD-ROM and USB ports are concield in that floppy door that just won't stay put. I use joysticks and gamepads alot(steering wheels and flight equipment as well) and the door spends most of the time opened(both ugly and dangerous to the harddisk as my cat rubs against the opened door). It is a shame as these are great cases despite that one(very hardware damaging) fault. Might I suggest a black CD/DVD drive in place of a drab beige like mine, it still looks sleek when opened.(as in a dalek control room). You'll mess up the hard ware if you trip on the dangling door, and live a hectic life like me. P.S. if you just are getting sick of that confangled door, just remove it. My tech guy told me to use a small allen wrench and remove the top support bar(be sure and replace the top support bar to keep case integrety).-and DO NOT LET THE WASHERS DROP ON THE FLOOR!(they are tiny).
Just Quality July 19, 2005 W. Pikul (Fresno Ca, USA) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I built 2 computers and use differnt cases This case from thermatake is so much more quality than the other one. I would say there is just no comparason. You can tell the differance from the moment you start to assenble. I did notice the silence in the thermatake as well, although I think it runs a little warmer. Both computers are equal as far as board and processors.
