Brilliant system for any parent November 4, 2004 Nancy (Washington State) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I am glad to learn that Amazon started carrying KidMail, so I can give it as a holiday gift this year! Since getting KidMail a few months back, my kids (5 and 8) have begun to correspond ENTHUSIASTICALLY with grandparents, aunts, and uncles. They love the bells and whistles in the software -- especially sending those cute Quick Messages -- from their KidMail.net address. Meanwhile, I love how the KidMail system intercepts all the SPAM that flies around the internet... I know how to delete MY junk email but don't want my kids getting messages about increasing the size of certain body parts or those requests to hold 16 million from the Nigerian Treasury secretary, much less graphic (...)!! Whenever I check my email from home or anywhere else, I get a convenient message if relatives or strangers TRY to contact my kids BEFORE they ever see it. I get to "mark" who is highly trusted, not trusted, etc. I can say whether messages go through automatically or I get a copy -- just to keep a tab on their communication. (To me, this is just the same as me not letting children answer the door when I don't know who is knocking.) Highly recommended for any caring parent -- BRILLIANT!
