A MUST HAVE for real gamers November 21, 2008 K. Hall (Jacksonville, FL) Splinter Cell is the best, stealth-espionage series ever in gaming. The stories are believable, and detailed. Not cartoon-ish and outlandish like the Metal Gear series. No animal mimmicking military machines, psychic powered beings, or cyborg ninjas. Just real-to-life, world hungry terrorists and government officials. Splinter Cell's only problem is the fact that it's audience was brain washed by Metal Gear Solid first. By this game for a real stealth experience.
The Best Series to Date - Gotta love Sam! December 13, 2006 Parents of 3 (Knoxville, TN United States) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
The Splinter Cell series is the best series to date. SC 1 and 2 are the backbone of the 4 part series. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory the third installment is by far the best. The multiplayer is awesome. So if you liked 1 and 2 you gotta get Chaos Theory. The best 4th installment Splinter Cell Double Agent on the original xbox is excellent!
One of the best games available, now out for a lower price! April 26, 2006 Peter Stephenson (San Francisco, CA) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
The Splinter Cell series of games is one of the finer ones around. Playing it through for the very first time is absolutely mind-bending: the environments are intricate (with an attention to detail rarely seen in other games), and the gameplay is a rich, rewarding, if occasionally somewhat linear, experience. This is a series that gets under your skin, and you find yourself really thinking like Sam Fisher to negotiate the levels. Those used to playing run-and-gun first person shooters might find themselves a bit out of their depth. The game is meant to be played in a methodic, logical, and stealthy way. It is possible to play all the games in the series with NO unnecessary kills (occasionally there are places where you must assassinate an enemy, but these are rare and well-defined). I've played the entire series twice, and each time it's a new, detailed experience because one can play the games in a different style each time. I'm presently trying to "ghost" the game, whereby I attempt to play the game with no unnecessary kills, no unnecessary knockouts, and no getting detected. It's a challenge, but its fun. If you enjoy games where speed and finger-twitchiness are not key aspects of playing or enjoying the game, and would much rather analyze and get involved with the game, this is the series for you.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. WOW for only 30 bucks you get two of the best games to ever grace the computer and console. I have had all the splinter cell games for xbox and decided to get all three for comp as well but each game was going for like 25 bucks at all online and regular stores so i bought this pack and love it, the graphics are a bit crummy but thats my computers fault not the games. BUY IT NOW if youve never had the chance to play these games I gurantee you will fall in love with them :)
