Other features include the ability to create unique sound collages with up to eight layers of audio, or automatically burn hundreds of songs across multiple CDs. Roxio has added new music features to Creator 9. Unlike the previous generation, this version can automatically create perfect mixes from your PC music library. It is also equipped with new audio capture functions, including a desktop capture widget that helps capture streaming Internet radio and music instantaneously, a pre-roll feature that captures any audio playing on your PC without missing a beat, and a mute-all system sound feature so you can capture only the sounds you want without annoying dings from IM or new email notifications.

You can even use Photo Assistants to make impressive panoramas and photo collages with easy-to-set layers, edge fading, and transparency effects. With Roxio, photo editing is simple and easy. Use Creator 9 to crop, rotate, correct brightness and remove red-eye with just one click.

Capture and Manipulate Digital Video
With the newest version of Roxio Easy Media Creator you can capture analog or digital video effortlessly with auto-stop for unattended capture and more extensive capture card support. You can snag HD video from the latest HDV camcorders, and preview and keep only the desired scenes with SmartScan and auto-scene detection. And with Plug and Burn, Creator 9 automatically records all the content off your video camera or VHS tape, straight to DVD -- video capture just doesn't get much easier.

Roxio allows you to take control of your production with advanced 32-track timeline tools and the creative freedom to edit virtually everything. And you can even add professional transitions, effects, titles, navigation menus, and Dolby Digital Sound to regular or widescreen (16:9) productions.

Burn, Backup and Copy
There's nothing more upsetting that losing all that precious digital data stored on your PC. With Creator 9 you can perform full, partial or incremental backups on demand, or schedule them to be done automatically while you're away. Done effectively, a PC backup can recover almost all of your data after a system crash or drive failure, and Roxio even helps restore the files to their original location. Burning with Roxio is fast, and with the newest version of Easy Media Creator you can save up to 50 GB of data on a single Blu-ray disc. Burn audio and data discs, mixed mode, and enhanced CDs, or create bootable discs to recover your system -- the possibilities are virtually endless.

You can also use Creator 9 to copy your movies to iPod, PSP, mobile phone or other portable video players. Plus, you can easily copy video CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, make high-quality copies of your DVD movies, copy to double layer discs, convert DivX and WMV files into standard DVDs, and more. And once you have finished burning a disc, you can put your final stamp of individuality on the physical disc with custom-designed labels.
