Don't get if you have a NEWER computer January 15, 2007 Shannon E. Tousey (Sheffield, Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My computer is newer, moreso what I should be saying is that I have a lot of RAM in it. More than 1 gig, so when I went to play this after install with my kids it kept popping an error saying that I didn't have enough virtual memory. You have got to be kidding right??? So I went into my setting and adjusted my virtual RAM - same thing. Did some research online - only to find this is a common error, they offered some fixes, they did not work. I finally had to install in on a much older computer in the home. It did work and of course - true to all I SPY games - it is wonderful and great fun for the whole family - everyone is mesmerized. So if you can get past the install and start - it is a good time.
I SPY School Days (Jewel Case) November 3, 2006 M. Hundl (Dripping Springs, TX United States) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
My 6-year-old son has all the other I SPY computer games and loves them, so we thought he would love this one as well. He doesn't. It probably would have been better if we started him on this one since it seems to be easier than Treasure Hunt, Fantasy, and Spooky Mansion. (It does say ages 5-9, where the others indicate they're for ages 6-10.) Also, it says it's compatible for Windows XP, but only if you switch down to Windows 95 through Windows Compatibility Wizard. Even then, it kept crashing, which of coarse means that it didn't save the puzzles my son completed, so he had to keep starting over. Even so, he thinks the puzzles are fun. It's just not his favorite.
