Not the best Nancy Drew Game December 12, 2007 Deirdre W. (Unity, ME United States) I've played nearly every Nancy Drew Game. This one was hard, and wasn't that interesting. The "research" you need to do is boring, and tedious. I never even finished the game, as it was so boring.
Scarlet Hand Review May 25, 2007 S. Eberhardt (Southern California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Secret of the Scarlet Hand is a good Nancy Drew game but is more geared toward an older, more mature player than a younger player with less patience. It requires more "studying" and learning the Mayan historical facts which I really enjoyed but my 10-year old daughter got sick of very quickly. Much of what is required in getting to the next level of play is knowledge-based versus "easter egg hunting" or game-playing, which is what is fun for a younger audience. So I personally really liked the information download but my daughter never finished the game.
Nancy Drew - Scarlet Hand April 10, 2007 M. Monahan This was purchased for my daughter - age 13. She loves Nancy Drew & the game is consistent with her expectations.
Lots to learn and do. A favorite of mine. June 26, 2006 Jennifer M. (Kenosha, WI) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have all the Nancy Drew titles and I really liked this game, Secret of the Scarlet Hand. There are puzzles and trivia. I think this game was a lot of fun. There was a bit to read but learning about something while playing a game is great for my over stressed mind. (I have a toddler, enough said?) I thought the graphics were good and the characters were interesting. I picked up the jewel case for about $9 can't beat the quality entertainment you get for that.
It's good for what it is October 22, 2005 Z 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I really like the Nancy Drew books and games, I think this one was a little too hard though. It was difficult to complete the tasks you are given for the internship. I also didn't see the point in them, it was difficult work that didn't apply to the mystery. There was just too many tasks for a simple mystery.
