| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Cross Country Scorer scores a cross-country meet for up to 60 schools/teams. The number of races is virtually unlimited. You control variables such as the number of runners/team that score (usually 5), the number of runners/team eligible to score (usually 7), and the type of scoring to be employed. Along with the normal cross-country scoring method, non-displacement scoring (leave 'em where they finish) and ghost scoring (add extra placers for non-qualifying teams) are also available. At the finish, all you have to do is enter the proper order of finish as the runners come into the chute. You can click them into the finish order or type in their contestant numbers. The program does the rest automatically including discarding runners from non-qualifying teams automatically (unless non-displacement scoring is in effect). Ties in the team score are no problem. If your meet has multiple races (like a girls race and a boys race), the program can easily accommodate up to 1,000 runners in each race. Team scores will be available seconds after the end of the race. Printouts available are (1) the team score, (2) the race results, and (3) a post-race summary of each team's runners. Sub-races from within a main race can also be scored and printed (run together but scored separately). HTML capability is included so race results may be easily emailed to the media or directly posted to a web site.
