Absolutely Great! May 28, 2006 D. Coon My 3 year old daughter loves this game and has for over a year. I can't imagine how often the kids who get sick of it are playing it. With normal use it is not boring. I do think that it is geared for children who are a little older if they are playing alone. I can't imagine an 18 month old being able to navigate the menus without a parent. Also, I've never seen the bugs others have. I plan to buy one for a friend!
Reader Rabbit is MUCH better! February 21, 2003 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I can assure you that this game is not worth the money. My child is 2 and is pretty good at the mouse and keyboard and he loves Sesame Street. But he hates this software. It is very difficult to get to the different games and it is very confusing for the child. Get Reader Rabbit toddler....there is no need to use the clicker on the mouse instead the keyboard or the movement of the mouse is the interaction.
Best Toddler Game for 12+ Months February 8, 2003 Jeff A (Glenview, IL United States) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
My daughter loves this game and plays it almost every day. She started when she was about 12 months old and was able to do a lot of the activities. The games are divided into mouse-based and keyboard-based games. What's nice about the mouse games is that she can wiggle the mouse around and get positive feedback. The mouse games consist of unwrapping presents and simple coloring games (just moving the mouse colors things in.) All of the original Sesame Street characters and actors perform the voices in this great game. There are sing-along songs, letters shapes and numbers, and lots of other educational activities. As far as pressing the Windows key, there is a shareware program called WinKeyKiller that you can get from download.com that you can run before playing this game that will prevent the problem other reviewers are complaining about.
You'll get sick of this one awfully fast! February 3, 2003 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was our 14 month old's first computer game. At first we were so excited to watch her learn to use the keyboard, and thought the games were cute. One month later we are SO sick of this game, and our daughter gets bored with the games very quickly. The software has bugs that cause loud static during some of the games. There is not much variety, or creativity to the game design or writing. Unfortunately this seems to be the case with most of the sesame workshop products (other than videos) that we have tried. Spend your money on something else.
decent but buggy December 11, 2002 My 16mo son likes the keyboard games such as Peek a Boo. Most games are for slightly older children. It works OK but the MS keyboard button causes the program to halt when accidently pressed.
