Amazon.com Product Description Centipede, the arcade game of the '80s, has been brought full speed into the '90s. You play Wally, an ordinary person who must defend his village against the onslaught of centipedes as well spiders, army ants, fleas, and scorpions. Command a custom-built centipede-fighting vehicle called a shooter. Battle across many different areas to the centipede temple, saving captured and stranded people along the way. Finally, meet up with the mother of all bad creatures--the queen centipede. See if you can put an end to this.
Product Description Based on the classic arcade game! Your mission is to defend the village against the onslaught of Centipedes and other creatures, including spiders, army ants, fleas, scorpions and other creepy-crawlies.

Favorite Game to Play December 6, 2005 Dolphin I got this game from PSP 1, and it has been my favorite game to play ever since playing Millipede off of the NES. I wonder if they are going to make Millipede for Nintendo Gamecube because that one had the bombs in it although it's similar to Centipede. Centipede can be played either as arcade or adventure mode. I like the adventure mode, which is the best game to play. The arcade is fun and it has a lot of memories. Because of that I used to play Millipede as a child and then Centipede came and I had never forgotten the title or how it is played. I think this game should be on one of the hand held games.
Not your classic Centipede October 24, 2004 Susan B (Phoenix, MD) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I bought this game, I thought I was getting the classic arcade version of Centipede that I always enjoyed playing. But this is a tricked-out 3D version that shares only the name with the original Centipede. I loaded it on my computer, played for about 15 minutes, then never went back to it. Forgot how much I disliked it the first time and loaded it on another computer, then remembered why it was sitting on the shelf. If you are looking for Centipede like you remember it from the arcade game, this is not it.
Ok game January 17, 2001 Joan R. Wooldridge (Colorado Springs, Colorado United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game was kind of boring. And they expect you to beat this boring game? it got like 8 worlds w/ 100's of levels each on them. I would advise you to not waste your monet on this!
A completely new 3-d game or your favorite old classic! June 21, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The new version of Centipede is great! You can play the old Atari 8 bit version, but if you get board you can play the full rendered 3d game! Don't expect this too be a cheap cliche rip-off of your favotite arcade game, the new version is GREAT and only based upon the Atari version. But you shouldn't buy this ONLY for the Atari because if that's all you want you can download a demo version at a website like download.com but if you love the old one and you think you MUST see this new one, buy it!... WARNING: Surgeon General Warning. Very Addictive!:)
