New Membership Program November 24, 2008 P. Jordan (Los Angeles, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I work at Knowledge Adventure and wanted to comment on a previous review called Deceptive. I was pleased to hear that this parent and their children enjoyed Trouble in Town, but concerned that they felt that we were not clear about the additional game play available with an optional membership. We have recently changed our membership billing to a single charge per month, instead of charging "for every time your child progresses to another unit". We encourage all parents to visit our website at www.jumpstart.com and post their comments on our discussion boards. We believe our games provide an exceptional value to parents and their children and are committed to maintaining an open dialogue with our customers.
Deceptive November 20, 2008 J. Smith This is a great game and my kid absolutely loves it!!! The only problem is you buy the game for 20 dollars expecting the whole game. You WILL NOT GET IT!!! Matter of fact the cover of this game says you are playing "trouble in town" when in fact you never even get to go there. I believe that is called false advertising. They provide you with 2 units out of 12. It takes my 5 year old about 2 hours of accumulated play time to finish both units, then they tell him he can't go any further. Makes him very sad. Once you complete those units you have to subscribe to continue play. For the whole game it's about $[...] a month. Don't let them fool you. If you enter your cc# they will automatically charge it every time your child progresses to another unit with zero notice. So if you are willing to drop $[...] dollars then it is a fantastic game. If not then you will set up your kid for great dissapointment.
