An Old Program that's not been updated. January 6, 2002 A new fan (Temperance, Michigan United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you use a modern computer, this program will not work properly because of something called Palette Considerations. The only system this will work on well is one that uses 256 colors and nothing higher. If you try to create a Screen Saver, when it gets to Palette Considerations, the system locks up and quits working. If you're looking for a Screen Saver, keep looking, don't use this.
Easy with decent results March 29, 2001 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
I've made three screen savers so far and have enjoyed it tremendously. It's easy with the results being quite acceptable. I, like the other reviewer, do find some fades choppy but I'm able to live with that. The only other problem I have with it is the use of the "Background". Images can't fade into the next image, they must fade into a background first. You can make the background an image which is a sorta-acceptable workaround but not great as the time a background displays is not adjustable. I like to make screen savers out of photographs, so, for instance, each photograph displays for 10 seconds, then rather than fading into the next photograph, it will fade into the background then into the next photograph. If you make the background one of the photographs, it will only show for a second or two (versus the 10 seconds of the photograph) as the program calls it the Background and not the Image and Background timing is not changable. It would seem to me that an update/patch could be made fixing this...hint, hint.
A Good Product, But Some Flaws December 13, 2000 Connor Shivers (Salem, OH USA) 18 out of 21 found this review helpful
This was a good design studio, and I enjoyed creating screen savers, but I was really expecting more selection. Also, the graphics are occasionally choppy. Other than that, though, I enjoyed creating screen savers from the options I had. I would recommend buying this product, although if you have the Internet, I'd suggest downloading screen savers from there if you can.
