    Product Description
Winnie the Pooh and all his friends at the Hundred-Acre Woods have a story and lots of activities for preschoolers. Children can choose the story, Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. The story is read aloud and each page has lots of clickable hotspots. Words are highlighted as the story is read increasing reading comprehension and confidence. In addition to the story there are fun activities that tie into the storyline. Kids can decorate Owl's new house or fly Piglet and Pooh through the air and around lots of obstacles. Pooh is dreaming about Heffalumps and Woozles and kids will match parts to create what Pooh is dreaming or make their own Heffalumps and Woozles. Eyeore is house hunting for Owl but he cannot cross the water. Children will build bridges using different shapes to help Eyeore. Hillside Party Hop is a fun 1 or 2 player game with Rabbit and Tigger. Players move Rabbit or Tigger to gather items for the Hero Party. Activities have three levels to ensure kids progress as they master skills. This is a beautiful story with friends helping each other and a double hero party at the end. Kids will love reading along and playing with Pooh and all their favorite friends from the Hundred-Acre Woods.

    Amazon.com Review
Winnie the Pooh's Activity Center is a wonderful way to entertain your child on a rainy day; with six different activities at three different difficulty levels, kids of all ages can enjoy time spent inside. Also included is the animated storybook Winnie the Pooh's Animated Storybook: Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too, which offers more fun games and reading activities.

In the Winnie the Pooh's Activity Center, a friendly narrator greets you on "a blustery day." He presents activities such as Eeyore's house hunt--help Owl to find a new home; Heffalumps and Woozles--match the characters in Pooh's dreams; and Fly a Piglet--prevent Pooh and Piglet from running into trees and stumps. You may also choose to read the interactive book of Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day, which introduces different activities as you read the story along with the characters.

The gamelike portion is similar to the interactive book, but with better directions. Follow the story and play with Roo, Tigger, and other favorite characters. With each story, the highlighted words (reminiscent of follow the bouncing ball) encourages your child to read aloud and recognize words as they do.

The activities are amusing and, with the different levels of difficulty, mean the software's appeal will last longer than just one rainy day. Your child will enjoy the friendly characters, and you'll find that the activities serve not only to entertain but also encourage reading, matching, hand-eye coordination, and imagination. --Madeleine Miller
