I lost $30 in this product. Doesn't works at all. April 28, 2008 Juanpablo Santini (Calgary, Alberta Canada) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I try this software in both Vista and XP, try at least 20 DVDs and it couldn't read any of them. The complete description on the box is a complete lie. DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not good with Windows Vista December 7, 2007 Elaine (Denver, CO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just bought Transfer My DVD, and having problems with Vista. Got it to work *once* but was rejected because I was using a copywritten movie, and it cannot get through the encryption. Not happy. Have used Cucosoft program with much better results. I'm sending this one back.

Transfer My DVD advertises, "Watch all of your movie files on your iPod and enjoy them wherever you go. Provide yourself hours of entertainment with your entire movie collection on your iPod." This claim turns out to be patently false. Transfer My DVD can only transfer movies that are NOT copyrighted. It rejected DVD after DVD, asking me to please put in a disc that wasn't copyrighted. Of course, my entire movie collection is copyrighted. In order to transfer a commercial movie DVD, one has to first download free software called DVD decrypter. Once that program converts a copyrighted movie into files without copyright protection, Transfer My DVD was able to convert those files into an iPod compatible format. However, the quality was extremely poor and it took an unbearably long time. I got much better and faster results with clear picture and sound using (again) free software called Handbrake. Understandably, Transfer My DVD cannot legally decrypt DVDs. But it can't even transfer already decrypted DVDs well. In addition, when I emailed customer service about my complaints, I got a message that the email was not read. One has to create an account at the Avanquest website and submit an incident report. Don't waste your money and time on this product.
Yeah Right February 8, 2007 W. Greene (Colorado) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product is supposed to be able to put DVD's on your ipod so you don't have to buy them from ipod or go through the hastle of trying how to load your own. Well here is the thing it doesn't do it. It won't even load the dvd or anything all it is, is a fancy looking program designed to waste your money and space on your computer with false promises. Everytime I tried to get the product to do what it is supposed to it would act up everytime and its not my specs on my comp either. I have a brand new computer and so that wouldn't be the case. Bad buy. They need to get it right. I heard another program works better but I have yet to try it out because amazon doesn't sell it so I am quiet skeptical but its called 1-click dvd and supposely it has the capability of putting any movie on. Bad thing about it is that it cost $20 more. Oh well.
