Amazon.com Review Rediscover the fun of a treasured childhood board game with Clue: Murder at Boddy Mansion. With network play options and an animated "accusation screen" that incorporates your suspicions into an incriminating video, Clue is more mysterious and fun than ever. There are two different ways to play: Classic and No Die Roll. Both include play with up to six human or computer opponents, three being the minimum. Computer players are offered to make up for missing challengers, and they can even play by themselves (which is almost worth it just to watch all the animated videos of the accused). Players must choose their character--Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Professor Green, and the rest from the original board game--receive the appropriate amount of cards dealt from ghostly hands, and step into Boddy Mansion. The difference between the two types of gameplay lies in the title of No Die Roll. This version takes you beyond the dice of chance and provides a standard nine options for each turn. Be wary that some actions cost more options than others. Making a suggestion or taking a secret passage each costs three options, while steps to each room cost one. The newfound enjoyment of the game lies in the graphics. You can view the board as a 3-D mansion, seeing the furniture, looking through the walls and the hidden passageways; or view it as the traditional playing board--which is not as snazzy, but is easier to navigate. Characters are well animated, whether they're walking through the mansion or displaying their prowess with candlesticks and ropes in the accusation screen (don't worry parents, it is more exciting than morbid). The only drawback in this new version is that you may have to ask your noncomputer opponents to close their eyes when you peek at your cards, but reverting to the pen and paper system won't hurt, and the game will be just as suspenseful as you remembered. --Madeleine Miller
Amazon.com Product Description Clue, the classic Parker Brothers detective game, comes alive in this new CD-ROM version. Murder at Boddy Mansion features vivid graphics, 3-D characters, clever animations, first-rate audio, and original music. As in the board game, players compete to solve a murder by deducing the killer, the murder weapon, and the location of the crime. For a clever, canny, and compelling experience filled with rich characters, settings, and loads of clues, Murder at Boddy Mansion is the prime suspect.
Product Description Mr. Boddy, apparently the victim of foul play, is found in an undisclosed location within his mansion. Clue offers full animations of the characters walking from room to room. To win the game, you must determine the correct answers to these three questions: Who did it? Where? and with What Weapon?

Classic Fun July 9, 2005 K. Bennett (San Jose, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Clue has always been my favorite board game, so when I learned I could combine my love of Clue with my love of computers, it was a dream come true. This game plays much the same way the board game does, with up to 6 players being able to play as the various characters and moving about, trying to find the proper combination of person, place, and murder weapon. The game offers some creepy music and lightning effects to help the mood. My only complaint about the game is that since everyone uses the same computer, there isn't really any way to keep people from looking at your cards and checklist when it's your turn. Play with honest friends!
Clue PC game July 6, 2005 Beasley (IL) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This game is good, but it wasn't as interactive as I'd hoped. It felt like an old Mac game adapted for the PC. It's still entertaining, but not one that would keep me coming back often. One major gripe: It doesn't run on Windows XP and I couldn't find anything saying that it wasn't compatible! (It works fine on Win98)
Complicated Clue July 17, 2003 Allison (Gig Harbor, WA USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I really like this game, with all the fun features it is the best! I really like how it keeps the game quality but remains real! I love it. Although it would be only fun for kids 10 and older. It can be hard to understand at times but it is oh so much fun!!!!! Have a Clue of a Time!
Clue is 3D!! July 6, 2001 Sharon Wirth (Richfield, WI United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This clue game is fun but they could have done a better job. It is hard to move. I always get stuck on the corners. But there are some good things. It follows the game clue very well. The graffics are also great. At the sound of the game you would think you see someone murdering someone. This is not true. All you see is a person, holding [something]. Then you hear a scream. That's all.
A spectacular Clue computer game finally made for the PC. June 25, 2001 Christopher M. Carter (Brooklyn, NY United States) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
All Clue fans remember the debacle of the previous incarnation of Clue for the PC. This version more than makes up for the last version. Go to Hasbro Interactive's web site first to download a patch after installing this. The graphics are breathtaking, the music gets you in the mood immediately, giving the feel of an old-fashioned murder mystery movie (sometimes it almost feels like a movie too!) and never becomes annoying. Top-down view and angled view are two of many choices you have in customizing the game to your liking. Little mini-clips of your "suggestion" in action play as you make them, giving a small sense of "re-enactment" of the crime. Animated nuances such as wind-blown curtains, wind howling outside and clicking on various ornaments in the room make for some nice surprises. I don't get to play with my friends on the board game so playing on this CD version is a delight. Rich, full graphics, beautiful music, customizability and its strong adherence to Clue's game rules makes a fabulous game you'll want to play over and over.
