I bought this software as we were planning a trip to France and wanted to learn it before leaving. We were able to create different accounts for each family member, which was great. We all had a lot of fun doing it together as there are tons of different exercises. It is very complete and extensive. The speaking activities are very useful and I truly fell I improved my pronunciation. Learning French has been a blast with tell me more.

I was very excited to get this product, but it seems like it was released without a lot of thought put into it. In fact, it seems like there were still bugs in the program. Most of the options were frozen in place and could not be changed. I called the tech people and dealt with them online, but neither of them could help (the online people said they had never heard of the version I spoke of and had no documentation for it (???)) The options issue may not seem like a huge deal, but it made it impossible to change the sensitivity on the speech recognition. I've studied French for a few months, and although I am certainly not great, I feel pretty confident in my pronunciation of basic words. However, 99% of the time, I could not get the speech recognition to pick up even the simplest phrases. It was very frustrating. Aside from that, the lessons seem thrown together very haphazardly. I would go through two or three exercises that seemed to fit together at least reasonably well, and then be confronted with a lesson that focused on a concept or vocabulary that was completely new, and that never showed up again after the lesson. It really made very little sense. On the suspicion that they released the product without thorough testing, I've sent Performance back to Auralog to exchange it for Premium, and perhaps that product will be more in a finished state.
