| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The project consisted of replicating the existing Macintosh product on the Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 platforms. The software needed to intercept all web browsers (Netscape, IE, Opera, etc.) as well as other TCP/IP based applications such as E-Mail, FTP and Telnet. The software, when installed registers itself with the operating system and "injects" itself into all TCP/IP applications. Once injected the Channel Lock code watches for TCP/IP requests from each application and validates URL's, ports and IP/Addresses against a central directory (Check out the SmartZone at home.edview.com) and against user defined approved sites and services. Parents and teachers can customize the browsing experience by adding their own sites to the white list of approved sites. Future versions of the product will add greater customizability and workgroup support.

| Customer Reviews:
Dangerous! July 5, 2008 A. Lee (Minneapolis, MN) I used to work for the company which created this software. It locks the user's computer into a database that no longer exists. It's basically "unhappy customer in a box", waiting to be opened. If you're looking for a reason to reinstall your operating system, this would do it for you. This company is no longer in business for a reason. Amazon forced me to give it one star. It's negative fifteen starts, folks.
