I've worked with various volunteer groups, and inevitably inherit the jobs requiring simple database management. (Swim Club Membership, PTA Volunteers, etc.) Most have used Excel in the past, but trying to pass it along to the next year's volunteer requires that they are familiar enough with Excel to not screw up the database with incomplete data sorts, etc. This program is so darn easy, it's almost impossible to screw something up. It took me about 45 minutes of dinking around with test data to get the feel of it, but once I got the hang of it, the data entry and report formatting was a breeze. (And I am not that computer savvy). Creating a custom database is just typing titles and dragging them to where you want them on the screen. I customized my data entry screen to look just like my form that people filled out, so entering data is very streamlined. I stood up at a PTA meeting and touted this software as the best ($$$) I've spent in a long time.

This software does its job, but just do not expect too much. It's after all a $30 database.

Well, that about sums it up. I have used versions of this product since the early 90's: each year's version becoming more thorough, yet just as easy to program as the earlier versions. This program makes understanding a database very easy. You define the type of information you want to store and then you begin storing it. Excellent for simple contact management or for performing complex financial calculations or for writing invoices, spreadsheets, etc...... whatever you need to do with your data - this program will do it. I have yet to find a limitation within this program. It always does what I need it to - it's always stable and never crashes - importing and exporting data is accurate and simple. Unlike other databases which are needlessly complex - this one does it all in a layout that even a child could master. I've tried many other databases over the last decade and still use this.... there's nothing better.
