Roller Coaster Tycoon Expansion Pack: Corkscrew Follies

Corkscrew Follies will keep fans of the original game busy for some time with over two dozen new and challenging scenarios, the inclusion of eight additional types of roller coasters to build, and new themes like Jungle that you can use to decorate your park. Minor additions such as new concessions stalls can be used both to generate extra revenue and to spice up the in-game graphics as visitors interact with the new objects. Follies also features new games such as miniature golf that you can use to entertain park guests.

There still is no option to build the park of your dreams with unlimited funds, but the cheat codes available on the Web will take care of that. Still, there are enough new thrills here that the few faults really don't add up to much. Fans of the original game will definitely want to step right up. --T. Byrl Baker

This is an add-on pack; the main RollerCoaster Tycoon game is required to use it.

The game plays just like the original RCT 1. This is the first expansion and takes a good stab, but really dosen't do exactly the best. The landscaping still looks blocky to me. The scenery is limited. I think the mechanics are very unnerving because they may be right outside of the ride they need to fix and they get called for it, wander the park aimlessely for about twenty minutes than finally return.

There's also a few new Gentle & Thrill rides, nothing to be excited over. Circus Show, etc.

I must admit that this is a good try. Probably worth a buy with the better Loopy.

Rollercoaster Tycoon is the best game EVER. If you like to build stuff or just love Themeparks this is the game for you. You can custom build rollercoasters, car rides, or even Go Karts. You can paint your rides and give them your own names. The only thing I don't like about the game is that there is no night time and you can't make hotels and let your guests stay over night. Other than that it is the BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion, if you are thinking of buying Corkscrew Follies, you should. I think it has good graphics and sounds. The game never gets boring! There are so many different types of rollercoasters and desings are unlimited. You could build the rollercoaster of your dreams!

There could be a little more shops though, and different styles of bathrooms besides the same plain bathroom.

The scenarios can be a little challenging I have found. I think the ones where you have to get x amount of people in your park before october year 3 or so on to complete is easier than having to get a park value of 17k by then.

All in all, I think it is a pretty good game, I haven't played RCT2 so, all I know is that this is the best sim. game I've ever played!

This is a perfect addition to Roller Coaster Tycoon. With this game, Roller Coaster Tycoon, and the Roller Coaster Tycoon Expansion Pack: Loopy Landscapes you should be able to design the ultimate amusement park on your PC. This game will work with Windows XP Home Edition, although you might have to run it in windows compatibility mode.
