Product Description In Dr. Seuss Toddler, a host of beloved Seuss characters help to make learning essential toddler skills easy and fun. Toddlers will work their way through activities that help them learn vocabulary, counting, numbers, sounds and letter recognition.
Amazon.com Review In the land of Seussville, you'll find the Cat in the Hat ready to direct you through a journey of games and riddles. Visit his friends: Mr. Brown, Fox in Socks, and the Seussville band! Through interactive games, the characters help children strengthen their skills in following directions, appreciating music, and recognizing letters, sounds, and shapes. The goal of the program is to visit each character and help them in various skill-based tasks. Each lesson is accompanied by rhymed directions and energetic music--entertaining to more than today's current kids, to those who remember growing up with Dr. Seuss. For those who are buying the software for their toddler, your child will use the mouse to complete each task, after which he or she is awarded an item to place on a personalized printable hat. Parents will want to remember that the use of a mouse may be too complicated for younger toddlers, depending on their child's level of hand-eye coordination, and helpful supervision is a must. Also included is software for a printable workbook, filled with activities involving matching, coloring, and shape recognition. While this workbook provides away-from-the-computer activities, many of the projects are repetitive and may only be truly appreciated when a color printer is used. All in all, we enjoyed this program. The rhymes and music, accompanied by the traditional Dr. Seuss graphics, brought smiles to our faces. The cute characters, funny animations, and dear-old Cat in the Hat will keep children entertained for hours. --Jill Lightner

Great game, when it works. November 10, 2008 Lola R. Mcclellan (Lakeland, Florida United States) This game is great for teaching little ones basic mouse skills. The only problem is it kept freezing up. I ran this game on Windows XP machines and I even tried changing the compatibility mode to Windows 98 and it still kept freezing up.
Fun and educational August 9, 2008 Queen Shirley 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 2 year old finds this totally fun. He mastered the use of the mouse in less than 5 minutes in order to play his first game which was helping the goo goose give her goslings a bath. You don't need to know how to click with the mouse, just pass the arrow, hand, whatever - over the object and it picks up the gosling, makes a noise, etc. He loves ticking the sleeping Zuzz and letter sorting the ABC's with the Fox in Sox. I was relieved to find that he is more interested in rereading (and rereading) the Dr Seuss books since he's been playing with these games - I was worried how computer games might make books seem more boring for toddlers.
