How many times have you needed a Karaoke song but it wasn't available? Wouldn't it be amazing if you could make Karaoke CDs, backing tracks, and accompaniment music from all your favorite songs? Now you can! Remove or reduce the vocals from any song on your computer or from any music CD! Works with files of any audio format (MP3's too). Easy as 1, 2, 3 ... 1. Start with an MP3 song you've downloaded from the Internet, music services, or music CD. 2. The software will remove or reduce the vocals from the music. Using sophisticated opensource waveform sound processing software technology, centered vocals without echo will be stripped away, and centered vocals with echo or reverb will be reduced automatically. Any remaining vocals provide a pleasing backup vocal effect. Your original recording must be in stereo and vocals need to be in the center of the stereo track; vocals on the left and right sides are not removed. After reduction or elimination of the centered vocals, you can write the music back to a music CD, and use it in any karaoke machine, stereo, or portable player. 3. Now you can be the lead singer over the new backing track music, which may already have a pleasing backup vocal effect, or you can add additional backup singers. A built-in multi-track editor allows you to record voice with the music. Why waste time looking around for Karaoke CDs when you can remove vocals from any of your favorite songs? I was not aware that it was even possible to remove vocals from a song. I purchased this software to create a song for my daughter to use for her dance recital. I simply loaded the MP3 song into the software and followed the easy step-by-step instructions. I pressed the play button to hear exactly what I wanted! Only the music, and no more vocals! My understanding is that different songs produce different results, and the best music to use doesn't have alot of echo effects already recorded into it. I tried another song to use in my daughters Sunday School class for her to sing with and this one left a small amount of remaining vocal in the background, but when she sang with the song it sounded like a back up singer which worked out perfectly. I really liked the way the instructions were presented, they were easy to follow and you can easy click to the section you need. I'm excited to pull out my entire music library and convert more songs. They explain how to extract music from CDs if the song isn't already in MP3 format. I'm having so much fun.

I needed some accompaniment music for a performace and I had a few songs on CD and a couple of MP3s but all had singing with the music. I wanted a way that I could remove the vocals myself, leaving just the music. I tried this product, which is software that works with Windows or MAC. I had low expectations but Wow! It really works! The vocals were stripped out of the music and on most of my songs the vocals were completely removed, and on a couple they were reduced enough to sound like backup vocals, which worked perfectly for my purposes. Thanks Make-Your-Own-Karaoke! I would recommend this product.
