Missing features March 26, 2004 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I upgraded from 2.x to 4.x and I've found that although 4.x adds some additional features, it is missing a way to batch convert my images. I contacted Olympus on this and they had no clue about anything. I'm disappointed but what are you gonna do?
Love the software but don't order from this company February 22, 2003 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
It says "usually ships in 24 hours", but it has been 11 days and it still has not even shipped yet. They say it should ship by March 5 and I ordered it on Feb 11. If you are excited about receiving your product, I would order with someone else.
Better, but with bugs December 17, 2002 Tim F. (Birnamwood, WI United States) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have version 2.0 for Mac and bought 4.0 pro so that my wife could have an easier time e-mailing photos. The e-mailing utility works great, but it doesn't store mails you've sent for later review and it doesn't allow for easy viewing of pictures you're selecting for mailing. The print feature also works much better, or at least it did until I treid using it under OS 9.2.2. Under OS X things worked fine, but I had to downgrade for other reasons and have been unable to print to my HP Photosmart ever since. Their tech support was not very supportive. Anyway, when it was working it made much more efficient use of paper and it allowed you to select photos from multiple different directories, unlike the previous version. However, what I liked about the old version was that it was drag-and-drop friendly. It was easier to transfer files between directories this way, and so it is infinitely harder to organize photos under version 4.0. Generally, it seems that whoever wrote the software wasn't completely familiar with Macs. A lot of the convenient and powerful shortcuts we Mac folks use are not served by this program. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't buy it. If they work out the above-mentioned bugs soon, though, then it's worth it.
Much better than the earlier version November 14, 2002 Ruffin Morgan (Advance, NC) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This is much more user friendly than the software, original Camedia, that came with my camera. It actually supports my camera, which the earlier version did not, so pictures download right from the camera. It is much easier to print out, save, and email pictures now. I am sure it does lots of things I haven't even discovered, but so far I am very happy with it. Much improved.
