CAD 3D lets you pick from over 500 professional architectural, mechanical, and electrical objects and symbols. You can import and export objects between Expert's Home Design 3D and Landscape 3D. Complete Home Gardener allows you to search plants based on climate, soil pH, plant type, bloom color, lighting needs, and plant use. There's also a glossary of over 700 common gardening terms.

... I wanted to use the Landscape Design 3D to make a plot of my yard. The first thing I did was try to add a fence, and it didn't work. I could add a fence segment all right, but then the program was stuck in "add fence" mode and no combination of mouse clicks or key presses seemed to get me out of it. I had to go into Task Manager and "end task" to get out of it.Next, I tried adding a path. That worked OK, but the 3D view of it had some cropping issues such that the path appeared to be shaped like a semicircle instead of an arc. None of the other products were much better, and yes, the install process was flawed for me too. Don't buy this.

I had low expectations when buying this product, and this package failed to meet them. There are at least 3 different setup programs, none consistent, 2 of which are based on an old Windows 3.1 setup program, with 8.3 character expectations. After installing, 2 programs wouldn't run - "couldn't find file xxxxxxxx.xxx", so I don't actually know how these 2 run. The main 3d program launched, but is about useless. Your time is worth more than this.
