I Hate, Hate, Hate Intuit Quicken for Mac!!!! August 19, 2008 John B. Kalla (Aurora, CO USA) This version is buggy (like all Mac Quicken versions have been), and is annoyingly short on features. It will download the same transaction from my bank multiple times. And I can't get rid of some auto-fill categories, no matter how many times I delete them. What's worse: Quicken Financial Life for Mac, due about the same time Quicken 2009 would have been available, is going to have even less features than Quicken 2007 for Mac (which was released in 2006). Of course, that doesn't mean Intuit will charge any less for the "upgrade." I'm sure QFL will end up being a subscription service, so Intuit can get money from the people who normally only upgrade every couple years. I only wish there was a viable alternative to Quicken! I've tried all the other Mac financial applications, and they're all lacking, mostly in auto-download capability. Why can't somebody make a better application than this dog?
Prefer PC version August 9, 2008 David Avello So far I hate Quicken for MAc. After years being a devoted Quicken user on my PC I bought an iMac and switched to This. I can't get any accounts to download to my register like I did with the PC version. Should have stayed with the PC.
Not great but it does the job July 31, 2008 MelBoLay 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Moving from a windows version to this version it takes some getting used to, but I now enjoy it. It is not as robust as the windows version but it gets the job done. The only frustration I had was I thought I could migrate my files over, but learned this is not an easy accomplishment. I decided not to which means I need to keep my old computer for historical records.
Works Well July 28, 2008 Grace Cox (Provo, Utah) I had a hard time downloading from windows to mac because the directions were wrong for my old windows software so I had to start over. I do like it though.
From Windows to Mac July 24, 2008 Michael A. Strange 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Converting from Windows to Mac was not very efficient or complete. The Mac version is not as intuitive as the Windows version. Should have waited for the 2008 version due out soon.
