Not Bad. June 16, 2003 When I recently built my first PC, I wanted to try out some games. I thought I'd buy this product because I played a demo of Midtown Madness and became interested. This product is a steal at its current price. The reason I give it a four is because it is a little outdated at this point. I think the games will run on old hardware, so there is no need to have a super fast machine to run these games.
It was cool in its day (midtown game reviewed only) May 29, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had the Chicago Edition and loved it. So I bought the London/S.F. edition (this game). The physics of this game are not too good. It seems like no matter how two vehicles collide, there are only two or three outcomes. This makes it difficult to use strategic maneuvers in a race. I find the London setting to be boring. Chicago was a great choice for the first game, and I wish they included that original setting with the second game. San Francisco is better. The included races are fun, but you need to have a wheel controller (no way you can beat the bots in the more advanced races by using keyboard controls). The reall amusement to this game is the cruise option, in which you can just run around the whole city evading cops and crashing into stuff. You can get much better driving games these days though. If you already have a steering wheel controller and want a new game to mess around with, this one is fun. If you are about to buy a controller and a nice racing game, try any of the Need For Speed series. You don't get to cruise around an entire city at will, but you will probably get more of a thrill out of the better physics and graphics NFS has.
Two great games for the price of one October 28, 2002 R. Geissman (Lodi, OH United States) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
These are both great games. The best part is you can get them here for the price of one. See seperate reviews for each game. MIDTOWN MADNESS 2 This game is fun to run over a network with friends and family. We get bored with it fast if we are playing alone. My younger kids like it much more than me (they think its great). It's a pain that they make you do some mind numbing tasks to unlock cars. I would give it a 3 my kids give it a 5 so we settled on a 4 star rating. MOTOCROSS MADNESS 2 We run this game on our home network and I joust it out with my nephew or any one else who dare take me on. Great game with easy controls and good graphics. Runs great on both my PIII 1.06 Ghz HP laptop and 1.2 Ghz Celeron Emachines desktop. We have also played on the MSN gaming zone and been smoked by some really good players. We like it! 5 Stars! This is a great deal at a great price!
Motocross Madness Rocks! July 8, 2002 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I haven't played Midtown Madness, but my copy of Motocross Madness 2 has grown legs and walked away, so I'm buying another one!! Loads of fun for single player, and great for LAN games!
