Beware Mac Users December 29, 2008 KB (Minneapolis, MN USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Not only does this not work with Leopard, it doesn't even work with the most recent version of Tiger 10.4.11. The box states: - Mac with an Intel or PowerPC G4 Processor - 256 MB of RAM - CD-ROM Drive - Mac OS X 10.2 or later After spending several hours attempting to install this on Christmas day, I finally got through to Nova Development Technical support on Friday. After waiting on hold for over an hour, I got a tech support rep who kept insisting that I "go to the Start menu" and "click on Windows explorer" instead of using Macintosh troubleshooting techniques. I called back on Monday and spoke to a tech who explained that their software wouldn't work on Leopard. I have an old machine running Tiger, so we attempted to install it there - with no luck. He checked their knowledge base and determined that Sesame Street Preschool doesn't work with updated versions of Tiger. He told me that he'd take my e-mail and would send me a notice when an update was available, although he had no idea when that might be ready. I stated that it wasn't an acceptable solution and pointed out the box was clearly mislabeled and that I did my research before buying. I received an e-mail for a RMA and hopefully will receive my money back. So Mac users beware - Nova Development obviously treats us as an afterthought.
Doesn't work on Mac OS 10.5 December 23, 2008 Irene Lopez (Woodland Hills, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We loved their First Steps software so we bought this for our daughter. However, despite the package stating that it runs on Mac OS 10.2 or greater, it DOES NOT! We opened it up, installed and it would not work properly. So my husband called the software company and a representative explained that the packaging is mislabeled. Since we bought it at Target we cannot return it except for anther copy of the same title. To say that I am not happy would be putting it mildly.
My 3-Year Old Girl Loves It! October 26, 2008 Michael J. Titera (Parker, Colorado) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 3-year old girl plays with this software just about everyday. After I showed her the basics, she quickly figured everything out. Great learning software for pre-schoolers.
