Product Description The steering wheel-gripping heart of Colin McRae Rally 2005 is the all-new Career Challenge, which takes players through a full professional rally career, driving the most diverse selection of rally cars. An incredible 23 individual rally events provide a personal challenge with real progression and rewards through a non-linear series of Challenges, Cups, SuperCups, Shields and Championships as you earn the right to complete with the very best. Launch your career as a privateer but take the lead and progress onto more powerful cars, taking part tests to win further upgrades. Through the 23 events, drivers will be pummelled through a staggering 300+ stages driving cars from 4-wheel drive, 2-wheel drive, 4-wheel Classics, Super 2-wheel, Rear Wheel, Distinctive and 4x4 classics. Beyond the Career Challenge, there's a toy box of rally-fuelled adrenaline racing gaming with its 4WD Championship, Rally, Stages and Online gaming modes. And just when you thought a McRae game couldn't offer more detail or visual splendour, the game's development team is cramming it in: the new bonnet-cam and an improved chase cam gives a real sensation of speed and undulation. Enhanced damage and scenery visuals include new individual damage models for each car and should you crash into a tree, it'll shudder and even drop leaves!

The best CMR ever December 14, 2008 Luis M. Alayza These games have been progressively improving, and 2005 is the best edition ever, even better than DIRT, which became an ultra-arcade driving game.

Colin McRae rally is an awesome game. I had the 2004 for xbox and it was fantastic! the deal with the steering is your not playing need for speed, you are playing a simulator and your not on the road so every input (including steering) is going to be a little sluggish (just like you were really driving a crappy little car at full balls on a dirt road) I think these guys do a great job with this game.
racing January 15, 2007 Patricia A. Zwolinski (New Haven, Mo USA) This is really an excellant game for the computer. My husband really likes racing on the computer and this one sounds like I am watching television its so realistic.

Game will not work with my Logitech Momo driving wheel. Can ONLY use a joystick. Verry unhappy---period
A blast for a true gearhead! January 19, 2005 S. Deremer (Detroit, MI) This game rocks! I enjoy it's realistic details, such as car damage after crashes, engine overheating and subsequent stall and restart, getting flat tires and riding on 4 rims, etc... This game is a lot of fun to play for any length of time. I originally rented it from Blockbluster, and liked it so much that I started shopping for it in local stores. To my surprise, I could not find a single copy of this game for sale anywhere. I went to Target, CompUSA, Walmart, ToysRus, and Bestbuy to no avail. Save yourself some hassle, and just order it right here from Amazon.com!
