Works well at first, but a fatal design flaw October 9, 2008 Rich (Austin, TX USA) I have purchased two of these, and will not buy another. They have a fatal design flaw that makes them stop working after several months. The cord, which is so convenient and thin, and which wraps so neatly around the mouse, either pulls out of the USB connector or breaks internally at the point where it bends sharply. Somebody who does not wrap and unwrap the cord to use the mouse will probably never have this problem, but for a user who needs to pack the mouse away and unpack it frequently, this design issue is fatal. If you need a mouse that's truly portable, don't buy this one. Get a small Dell mouse with a permanent cord. They are a little bigger, but they only cost $7 at discount outlets, and they will last.
Cord management causes problems October 8, 2008 DonChaKnow The cord management feature eventually causes the mouse to die. All of that unwrapping and re-wrapping of the mouse cord around the base eventually wears out the wires inside, and the connection becomes spotty and then the mouse stops working. As an example, the same thing happens when you bend a metal hanger at the same spot over and over. It eventually breaks. I would suggest going with a retractable solution or a wireless mouse.
Most durable September 26, 2008 HopFrog (Hendrix College) This mouse has been sat on, stepped on, left at the bottom of a backpack for weeks and still it works. The way it keeps the cord detangled is ingenious and much more resistant to being destroyed than typical retractable mouse cords. Four years of abuse later and it's still working. That's a very good sign.
great product September 17, 2008 vperl (Clackamas, OREGON) Works like a champ on my Dell 1525, with no software installed, but if you need software you can get it on-line and do it very easy.
nice logitech notebook mouse September 7, 2008 E. Colaluca (MA. USA) I like logitech and I usually will buy a logitech mouse. This one is perfect for your laptop it is small and the cord wraps and snaps onto the mouse.
